NYEC 2020 Annual Forum: Call for Presenters
The 2020 NYEC Annual Forum will take place December 7-10, 2020 on the Whova Virtual Platform. Please use this form to propose a session or a "Action Hour" topic. For sessions, presenters should expect 50-minute sessions, conducted through Zoom. Our "Action Hour" is designed as a structured opportunity for young adults or adult practitioners give or receive feedback on pending policy decisions, programmatic changes at workforce agencies, and the future of work.

In a year like no other, our aim is to emphasize recovery and healing, strategy, and mobilizing as we look into 2021. We welcome sessions that address (1) how our field and the young people we serve can recover and heal from the COVID-19 pandemic; (2) creating strategies to ensure that every young person has access to training, education and employment opportunities; or (3) mobilizing within and across coalitions to bring together young people, policymakers, and practitioners to scale best practices and change policy.

Peer learning and discussion are at the heart of NYEC convenings. Presenters are welcome to use slide decks, but should reserve at least half the allotted time for questions, small-group discussion, or group problem solving. Below is a sample of sessions conducted during our June 2020 All Youth Connecting Virtual Convening:
- Meet Them Where They're At: Crucial Partnerships with Housing to Re-engage Opportunity Youth
- Food, Tech, & Jobs: Rebuilding with Resiliency
- Empowering Student Reengagement through Virtual Platforms & Strengthening Partner Relationships During Covid-19
- The Paradox of Promise & Peril for Black Men and Boys in America: Strengthening & Sustaining the Field of Black Male Achievement

We are accepting session proposals on a rolling basis. Please register through our Annual Forum homepage at https://nyec.org/forum/_2020/.

If you have any questions, contact Rashaun.bennett@nyec.org.

See you (virtually) in December!
