This year, Lake Catholic will be offering the OLSAT 8 as our placement exam. The exam time will run about an hour and a half long, offered in-person at Lake Catholic. The proctor will spend the first 20 minutes going through guided questions with the students to help them get comfortable with the testing format. After a short scheduled break, the students will have 40 minutes to take the exam per the national testing regulation for the OLSAT8.
The test is required for current 8th graders only. The test must have been taken by NOVEMBER 9, 2023 at Lake Catholic to be considered for academic scholarship. Students who test at other schools may use that score for the admissions requirement, but not scholarship consideration. Please email those test scores to jbretz@lakecatholic.org to be used for class placement.
Placement exams are only required for 8th graders considering admission to Lake Catholic High School
Students should plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to their scheduled test time and check in with the test proctor. The test will take approximately an hour and a half.
For students needing accommodations, accommodation testing dates will be noted in the signup form. 504/IEP/Accommodation plans must be sent to Lake Catholic Admissions prior to testing.
Students must pre-register using this form to take the exam in order to ensure we have enough space available. Testing dates are removed once full.
Cost of the exam: $20
First Semester/Scholarship Consideration Exam sign ups have concluded!
Students can only take the test once. Each test session is limited to 20 students.
