Welcome to Soccer Day 2019!.  It is our intention to have as many players as possible take part in this specific opportunity. We want to provide an inclusive, safe and empowering experience for all levels of players. This year we will be running a single day (Longfield's students only) event for both boys and girls (grade 7 and 8). Throughout the day, players will be placed on different teams.

The Soccer Day will be Friday, May 17th at LDH. (Rain Date is May 22nd)

There will be a $15 fee to play in the Soccer Day which includes the tournament shirt.  A BBQ lunch will be provided at an additional charge.  This is an event that is completely separate from the Soccer teams. Team tryouts and player selection for the LDH soccer team will occur at a different time.

Payment and submission of this form are due by May 1st.

Sign up online, then pay Mr. Rose in the Gym office. That's it, you're in!

1. The Tournaments Objectives
          a) Develop soccer skills – individual and team
          b) Instill a strong sense of sportsmanship and positive attitudes
          c) Have fun
          d) Represent LDH at the tournament in a positive manner.

2. Player & Parent Expectations
          a) Have fun
          b) Respect teammates, coaches, parents and referees
          c) Be ready 10 minutes before game time
          d) Dress Code – players to look presentable  
          e) Poor behavior  will not be tolerated

4. Expectations During Tournament
          a) 100% effort and focus at all times
          b) Listen to coaches
          c) Be disciplined – no retaliation and no talkback, gestures to referees, coaches, parents.
          d) No kicking balls, in nets or across while in line or waiting your turn
          e) Watch the game – be ready
          f) Move quickly between games
          g) Respecting the facilities (Staff, noise,  putting your garbage in the garbage...)
