The aim of this network is to address the topics related to climatic change and associated processes. First of all, sciences and technologies are addressed here with regard to research into causes, consequences and measures. Furthermore, challenges regarding resources in the development of climate-neutral technologies and energy production appear as a broad and significant field.

This network aims to study the problems of science education – approaches to teaching and learning of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) subjects, assessing science content towards the development of students’ scientific literacy in general. Teaching technological literacy, critical thinking, communication, creativity and problem-solving through science education could give the students the skills and knowledge to address the global challenges in a sustainable way.

[   ] Resilience, Life quality and Demographic Change
The aim of this interdisciplinary network is to investigate the influence of social habits and practices on public and individual health, as well as monitor the trends and transpose them as basis for future studies. The research of correlation between genetic background and indicators as social conditions and lifestyle addresses a range of topics related to medicine, sociology, biotechnology.

[   ] Smart Cities and Urban Challenges
This network intends to research whether the initiatives “Smart cities” could be the best strategy to face numerous urban challenges and to achieve the global goals of sustainable development. For example, one topic for exploration would be student campuses as models of a Smart City. The concept of “Smart City” effectively employs the modern technologies and successfully covers all the key issues, such as sustainable urban development, circular economy, infrastructure and mobility, etc.
