Complete this form to register your spot for one or more of the Pride Speaker Series 2022 psychoeducational workshops. These workshops are intended for 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals and their allies and cover a variety of wellness topics including consent and boundaries, communication, healthy relationships, providing gender-affirmative support, and self-compassion.
These workshops are provided by the Colchester Sexual Assault Centre in partnership with The Lotus Centre. This series is funded by the United Way of Colchester County and supported by the Truro Pride Society.

Thursday, June 2, 6:00 PM - IN-PERSON (Truro) - Queer Consent 101: How to Talk about Boundaries in Relationships - Learn about how to establish and encourage a culture of enthusiastic consent in relationships by using assertive communication to discuss and set healthy boundaries.
Thursday, June 9, 6:00 PM - VIRTUAL (Zoom) - Emotional Regulation Skills for 2SLGBTQIA+ Traumatic Stress - Learn about how homophobia and transphobia affect the body's stress response and practical ways to regulate your nervous system when you are feeling overwhelmed.
Thursday, June 16, 6:00 PM - IN-PERSON (Truro) - Queer Attachment: Communication Skills for Healthy Relationships - Learn about how your attachment style impacts your engagement in relationships, including how you communicate with your partner about your unmet needs.
Thursday, June 23, 6:00 PM - VIRTUAL (Zoom) - How to Support Your Trans, Nonbinary & Gender Non-Conforming Child - Learn about affirmative parenting practices that can help you better understand and support your trans, nonbinary, or gender non-conforming child or teen.
Thursday, June 30, 6:00 PM - IN-PERSON (Truro) - Self-Compassion 101: How to Start a Queer Mindfulness Practice - Learn about how to start and maintain a daily queer-affirmative mindfulness practice to help you connect with yourself, others, and the larger universe.
*Note: In-person workshops are planning to be held at The Lotus Centre in Truro. However, the location may be changed to another local venue if need arises. If this is the case, we will keep registrants updated.
