Dear Community Member,

On behalf of the students of Potter Jr. High School, we are cordially inviting you to participate in our Annual Career Day. It is our vision to prepare students that are college bound and career ready.  In order to achieve this vision, we need the assistance of our community members, so that together we may educate students on the importance of furthering their education and the vast career opportunities that are open to them.

Career Day is scheduled for Wednesday, January 29th,  2020. The event will take place at Potter Jr. High School in Fallbrook, CA from 8:00 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.  We are asking for you to volunteer for a full day (8:00 AM - 2:15 PM) or half day (8:00 AM -12:00 PM or 12:00 PM - 2:15 PM), we will accommodate your availability.

During your stay you will be assigned to a 7th or 8th grade teacher's classroom and each presentation will be about 35 minutes each including time for Q & A.  Students will rotate to their next class (normal school day schedule). For this age, props or visual aids work well, whether that be in the form of power points, pictures, actual items, etc. If you need access to any audio visual equipment, please indicate on this form. All of our classrooms have ceiling-mounted projectors that are hooked up to the classroom computer.

Your participation in our Career Day will be the highlight of our event. Our students are eager to learn about various professions. The few hours and/or day you spend  with them will resonate in their lives for many years to come and will be an important formative experience in their young lives.
