This Nourishing Gardens interest form is for individuals who would like to transform their lawns, decks, and balconies into ecologically beneficial growing spaces, creating food and flower micro-farms/gardens!

Launching in Fall 2021, CEI's Nourishing Gardens program aims to help community members transform suburban lawns by installing small-scale farms/gardens that are good for the planet and for you! Through this program, Howard County community members will have the opportunity to select from a menu of gardening and installation options to transform their lawns, decks, and balconies into food and flower growing spaces. As a gardener, you will work with the CEI Nourishing Gardens team to plan a garden that meets your interests and needs, choose an installation option that fits your budget and space, grow your own food/plants, and maintain your newly planted garden. Overall, this program is a great way to connect to nature, grow your own healthy produce, and come together with other new and experienced gardeners in the Howard County community!
