Nominating Committee report to TCNE Membership
The nominating committee is pleased to present the following slate of candidates for 2-year terms on the TCNE Board. The slate includes an equal mix of current board members with expiring terms and potential new board members. Consistent with TCNE by-laws, we have added seats to the Board (to a total of 10 members) to support the growing role we are playing in supporting our community.
Name *
Use the name corresponding to your TCNE membership so we can confirm your membership status.
Are you a current member of TCNE? *
Only current members of TCNE (dues paid within last year) may vote in the election. If you aren't sure, we will look up your membership status and count your vote if you are current. Actually, we'll look up everybody to ensure that only votes from current members are counted :)
Please vote for up to 8 candidates *
You must vote for at least one board member, and may vote for up to 8. There are enough open slots on the board for everybody who is running to be elected. This is by design - the nominating committee is bringing forward a complete slate that we believe can best serve the diverse needs of the club. Several additional people who expressed interest in running for the board have decided instead to serve on the new TCNE Advisory board (details below). Note that the order of this list is randomized.
Required
FYI: Board members entering 2nd year of term
The following board members are entering the 2nd year of their two year term. They are not up for election.

Erik H - Trans advocate and disability advocate / First Event 2020 Transmasculine track coordinator
Michelle James - TCNE Treasurer
FYI: Introducing the TCNE Advisory Board
We are creating the TCNE Advisory Board to help us better serve the needs of the club as we grow to provide more services to more community members at First Event and year-round. Each Advisory Board Member will provide direct leadership to a specific committee or project. Advisory Board members will be invited to Board Meetings to participate, but will not have a vote and will not count toward quorum. The intent of the Advisory Board is to provide a window into board responsibilities for interested and active leaders, as well as create a place to retain volunteer energy and institutional knowledge for folks who have been critical to the operation but are now taking a step back. Advisory Board members serve at the request of the board and as such, do not need to be voted into office. To request info about serving on the advisory board  - reach out to the nominating committee chair, Cheryl Katon.

The following members are being appointed to the inaugural TCNE Advisory Board:

Samantha Ambrose - First Event Committee, overall workshop recruiter and security, Trans community volunteer
Sammie Alyse - First Event Committee, wellness track
Liz Campbell - Additional non-profit experience, Medical professional, Trans community ally
Rachel Folger - First Event Committee, volunteer coordinator
Marcus Ross - Trans advocate
Bree Sullivan - First Event Co-Chair
Athena Vaughn - First Event Committee
