Know Your Rights Training
Back by popular demand.

Our public schools are meant to be safe and welcoming to all students and members, inclusive of immigration status. It's in the state constitution to welcome all students who come to our schools.

As an educator what are your legal rights and responsibilities if ICE shows up at school? What should you be aware of? What should we do or not do?

As a response to member interest, the Federal Way Education Association has connected with our friends in the Sound Alliance. An inspiring trainer to lead us to learn these answers and dispel a few myths. Our aim is that educators understand the basics of the law to have a comfortable understanding in our role as educators in our diverse schools. You will have the opportunity to run through scenarios.

We welcome WEA educators from surrounding locals to join us.

We appreciate your efforts to make schools safe, welcoming and affirming to all of our students,

Federal Way EA
