The Making Place Maker of the Month Application

Thank you for your interest in becoming The Making Place's Maker of the Month!

This program is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your artistry, teach a workshop or host an Artist Talk, and gain exposure through our social media, website, and newsletter. We’re looking for passionate, creative local artists who are excited to share their skills and stories with our community.

As Maker of the Month, you’ll:

  • Teach a hands-on workshop or give a talk/presentation that reflects your craft (and get paid!)
  • Be featured in our monthly newsletter, on our social media platforms, and on our website.
  • Inspire our community while promoting your art.
Payment for being the Maker of the Month:
  • $150 stipend to the Maker
    • Teacher is being paid around $30/hour (5 hours including cleanup)
  • A $50 stipend for materials if needed (receipts required and leftover materials bought with stipend donated to TMP inventory)
  • 2-3 hour class/event is recommended
  • The cost of a ticket being $30/person
