Soul Sisters … Connecting and Deepening Together
The Part-Time Pastor; Full-Time Church program of the Office of Ministry invites multi-vocational women clergy to move into the new year making a simple sacred commitment to take an hour a month for five months for communing with God, yourself and others. The second Monday of the month, February - June, women are invited to form a sacred circle on Zoom for an hour of grounding, connecting, refilling, and being sent out emboldened and blessed. In the midst of ministering to others, this will be an opportunity to come experience a variety of spiritual practices tucked between both a nourishing opening and movement out. Erin Matteson, Circuit Rider, ordained former clergy, now a spiritual director and retreat facilitator will facilitate the group. Experiences with lectio divina, visio divina, an Ignatian examen with a twist, embodied prayer, a fusion of chant and mantra will offer participants a chance to reunite with meaningful prayer practices or discover new ones, deepening their prayer life as they also deepen a sense of community with other women. Erin shares: “Through practices shared with peers, offered by another spiritual leader for those who are so often the spiritual leader, we hope and pray for a fresh infusion of energy and purpose. Hildegard von Bingen, 12th century mystic might call such an infusion - viriditas - a greening, moistening, enlivening from God that is always our Creator’s hope for us.”

NOTE: There are two time choices offered for each gathering to allow greater opportunity for participation:
- 9 am PST/10 am Mountain/11 am CST/12 pm EST OR
- 4 pm PST/5 pm Mountain/6 pm CST/7 pm EST
