This year's Regional Platform for the East will be a combined, digital event in partnership with the University of Bedfordshire, taking place on Saturday 27 March 2021. The day will involve digital workshops and activities  open to all groups, alongside a chance to watch the digital performances that have been selected for screening from certain applicants. If you wish to express an interest for your group to be involved in the workshops and events on the day, but do not wish to submit a film for screening, please continue to complete and submit the  entire form. This will register your group's interest in attending.

Submission of this online form will act as your formal application. Please do not submit this form until you have completed all of the necessary information. Be aware that if you exit the form before submitting, any data that has been inputted will not be saved, therefore we recommend that you prepare all information in advance so that this form can be filled out in one sitting. Please complete all sections of this form in FULL.  

Please note that all applicants submitting a full film for the digital screening must supply at least 2 minutes of film footage of the piece to be performed/screened in 2021 by the application deadline. Accompanying film footage to support your application, if being supplied as a file, must be uploaded to the U.Dance East Dropbox account. Upon submission of this form, a Dropbox link will be sent to the email address detailed in the Contact Details section below, to upload your footage into. This will be password protected and only viewable by yourself and the U.Dance Regional Team. Please note that full film footage must be received by Friday 19 March 2021 in order to be included in the final screening. Footage supplied by the application deadline will be used to assess performances by the selection panel, alongside the written description of the projected final piece provided in the description boxes below. The film will be shared within DanceEast, with the Shortlisting Panel and with our partner organisations, University of Bedfordshire and One Dance UK.

The application deadline is 5pm on Sunday 28 February 2021. Please note that applications received after the closing date will not be accepted.

Section D - U.Dance 2021
The regional dance platform also acts as a selection event for U.Dance 2021, One Dance UK’s National Youth Dance Festival. U.Dance 2021 will be delivered by One Dance UK in partnership with Scottish Ballet, Tramway and YDance, and will take place from 6-8 August 2021 in a digital format.

Section E - Chaperone Information
Please read thoroughly the guidelines for Child Performers and Chaperones which can be found online:

It is a legal requirement for groups to have the appropriate number of local authority licenced chaperones, and so it is compulsory that groups have these in place at the time of submitting the application or begin the 6-8 week process to obtain chaperones licences.
