CHS Choir 2024-2025 Application
We are excited you have decided to apply for a CHS choir! This is the first step in placing you in the correct class. Information about the Choirs offered at CHS is available at Mr. Hawkins website (https://chs.wuhsd.org/apps/pages/index.jsp?uREC_ID=741695&type=u&pREC_ID=2133303).

We have three levels of choir at CHS:
  • Chamber Choir (advanced level, mixed voices, greatest amount of activities outside of class)
  • Vocal Ensemble (intermediate to advanced level, treble voices only, moderate amount of activities outside of class)
  • Cal High Chorus (beginning level, mixed voices, least amount of activities outside of class)
This application is only required for students who are planning to try-out for Vocal Ensemble or Chamber Choir (Choral Music 2 and 3). A try-out is not required to join Cal High Chorus (you just need to request Choral Music 1 with your counselor).

For performances, advanced choir students are expected to follow appearance guidelines, such as no unnatural hair colors, no nail polish, no visible piercings, groomed facial hair, and wearing concert attire (formal dresses and tuxedos).
