2022 Literacy Summit presented by Senator Bo Watson

Please join Tennessee Senator Bo Watson at The 2022 Literacy Summit on Thursday, September 8, 2022 from 9 – 11 a.m. at The Commons, 4950 Swinyar Dr., Collegedale, TN.

Light refreshments will be served at 9 a.m. followed by a panel discussion on Tennessee and Hamilton County’s efforts to elevate literacy, especially in early childhood.

Remarks will begin at 9:30 a.m.

The panel, led by Senator Bo Watson, will include:

  • Dr. Lisa Coons, Chief Academic Officer, TDOE
  • Dr. Deborah Reed, Director of Reading360 Research Center, University of Tennessee Knoxville
  • Yvette Stewart, Director of Elementary Teaching & Learning and K-12 Literacy, Hamilton County Schools
  • Aleah Guthrie, Senior Director of Policy and Government Relations, Tennessee SCORE
