Concord parents and guardians,
As we prepare to come back to school on August 12, we need to know if your child will be attending our virtual school or our Hybrid A/B in-person program. You can find more information about our learning options at
www.concord.k12.in.us/reopening.
Concord will begin the 2020-2021 school year under a Hybrid A/B model, wherein Group A (50 percent of students) reports Mondays and Wednesday and does virtual learning on Tuesdays, Thursday, and Fridays. Group B (the remaining 50 percent of students) reports Tuesday and Thursdays and does virtual learning on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
We plan for students with last names beginning with the letter A-K to attend classes in-person on Mondays/Wednesdays and L-Z to attend in-person on Tuesdays/Thursdays to keep families together. If you have a child in your household with a different last name that you would like to attend school on the same day, please include a note in the comment section at the end.
A 100% virtual learning option is available for students who are high risk or for families that do not feel safe or comfortable returning to learning in person. District teachers will be specifically assigned to virtual students for individualized instruction in a virtual setting. Students choosing the virtual learning option may participate in extracurricular or co-curricular activities for which they qualify. Families will need to provide transportation to and from these activities.
Lastly, please submit this form for each student who will be enrolled in one of our schools. Students of families who do not return a registration form by due date will be automatically enrolled in hybrid in-person programming.
