In our own time, we tend to conceptualize the Seder as a meal commemorating our leaving Egypt. We might also choose to widen our focus to the struggle for freedom in all places. The rabbis, however, understood what became the Seder much differently. though many of their practices remain an integral part of our contemporary sederim. By exploring the 10th chapter in Pesachim, we will gain a deeper understanding of the theological underpinnings of the seder as the rabbis understood it, which will allow for a richer experience of our own sederim.
This is a 3-part class with Rabbi Lauren Tuchman
