Core Round Proposal Intake Form - Gitcoin Program Beta Launch (April 2023)
As the Gitcoin DAO prepares for the initial Grant Program launch on the new protocol, we want to experiment with new ways to empower the community to propose rounds, vote on the final selection, and even get their own rounds featured. You can find much more information on the planned approach in the recent governance forum post: Shaping the new Gitcoin Grants Program With Community Engagement

If you'd like to propose a theme or idea for a Gitcoin Program Core Round (that will be primarily managed by full time DAO contributors), please provide the relevant details below. This information will be shared publicly with any interested community members that want to vote on the Core Rounds they'd like to see included in the upcoming Gitcoin Beta Round.

Before you complete this form, please be sure you've read this Minimum Viable Round document.

Thank you in advance for your participation and taking the time to share your ideas!

Name (or Topic/Theme) of Proposed Round *
The name can always change but it's important to capture the essence of the area you'd like to focus on.
How many times has this round been run before during a Gitcoin Grants Round? *
Are you willing to help support this round? And if yes, how so? *
If selected as a core round it will be operated primarily by Gitcoin (payments, KYC fraud/Sybil reviews, etc), but you are still encouraged to help contribute to different aspects of the round as you see fit (grant reviews, promotion, grantee outreach and support, fundraising, etc).
Would anyone else you work with be interested in helping to support and manage the round? If yes, who?
If the round will be run entirely by the Gitcoin team you can skip this question.
Who will be advisors for this round if anyone?
Please describe the eligibility criteria you envision for this proposed round (keeping in mind governance will still have a say). *
For example: to be in the Climate Solutions Round, your project must be primarily focused on climate action.  see this example of eligibility criteria for the last grants rounds

Reminder: All rounds must comply with Gitcoin's core rules which include no fraudulent activity, hate speech or other activities out of alignment with Gitcoin's essential intents. Please include all additional eligibility criteria here that would be specific to this proposed grants round.
What do you anticipate the size of the matching pool will be (either fundraised from Gitcoin partners, raised independently through your own connections, or a combination of both)? *
Please realistically estimate based on existing relationships and demonstrated interest. The minimum for the April Program launch is $50,000 USD. You can also answer with a general, estimated range.
Approximately how many grantees do you believe will be eligible to apply to this round?
Is there anything else that you think community members should take into consideration when voting for which rounds to focus on in the upcoming Beta grants round?
A copy of your responses will be emailed to the address you provided.
