--Joy Closet Waiver of Liability-- By volunteering, you understand that the Joy Closet reserves the right to not allow you to volunteer and that there are risks associated with participating in any volunteer event. You acknowledge that you are assuming those risks on your behalf. In consideration of the Joy Closet permitting you to participate in events, you hereby take action on behalf of yourself and your executors, administrators, heirs, next of kin, successors, and assigns as follows. (A) I WAIVE, RELEASE, AND DISCHARGE from any and all liability, including but not limited to, liability arising from the negligence or fault of the entities or persons released, for my death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft, or actions of any kind which may hereafter occur to me in connection with my volunteering and/or my traveling to and from events, THE FOLLOWING ENTITITES OR PERSONS: The Joy Closet, its partner organizations, and each of their directors, officers, employees, volunteers, representatives, and agents, the activity or event holders, activity or event sponsors, activity or event volunteers;(B) I INDEMNIFY, HOLD HARMLESS, AND PROMISE NOT TO SUE the entities or persons mentioned above from any and all liabilities or claims made as a result of participation in this activity or event, whether caused by the negligence of the released parties or otherwise. The accident waiver and release of liability shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law. -Volunteer Release- You agree to accept a position as a volunteer worker for the Joy Closet, and in so doing, agree to comply with all of the rules and regulations established by the Joy Closet. You agree to do your best to represent the Joy Closet to the public in an accurate and professional manner. This includes being courteous and helpful to staff, other volunteers, and visitors. You acknowledge that your services are provided strictly on a volunteer basis, without any pay or compensation of any kind and that all services be performed at your own risk. You recognize that all records, files, forms, applications, mail lists, passwords, security codes, correspondence, messages or any other items belonging to Joy Closet and/or bearing the logo and/or name, are the Joy Closet’s sole property and may not be disseminated, used, published, or sold without the written consent of the Joy Closet’s Executive Director or President. -Photo Release- The Joy Closet may use your name, photo, likeness, voice and information for the purpose of advertising, publicity and promotion. If you choose to not allow your photo to be used and see a photographer wanting to take your picture, please make sure they are aware that you do not want to be photographed. ***By TYPING MY NAME BELOW, I express my understanding and intent to enter into this Release and Waiver of Liability willingly and voluntarily. *
