2019-20 Eagle's Nest Behavior Contract- please review with your student
Eagle's Nest supports the NAPLS' purpose to create a culture of accountability that achieves the best academic and developmental outcomes for each student. Student safety, well-being, enjoyment, achievement, and sense of belonging are daily goals at Eagle's Nest. To that end, we expect students and families to support the clear expectations and inclusive environment that are carefully planned for everyone’s comfort.

Our three rules (respect self, respect others, respect the stuff/environment) are employed throughout the program.
     >  Students are expected to follow the directions of Eagle's Nest staff and cooperate with other students.
     >  Students will be supported in using age-appropriate problem solving methods with other students when conflicts arise.
    >   Students will remain in designated areas at all times and must obtain permission to go to another area of the building in order to be appropriately supervised.
    >   Students will use materials and spaces for their intended purpose (no damaging or defacing equipment or furnishings).
     >  Students will let a staff person know if the actions of others are making them or another student uncomfortable- see something, say something.
     >  Students will use respectful language with students and staff.
     >  Students will help keep everyone safe by not engaging in physical or verbal bullying.
     >  Students will be given every opportunity to correct their behavior and to make good choices through peer and staff modeling, redirection, deescalation, and logical consequences before a discipline report is written.
     >   A discipline report will be written:
                    >  if a student repeatedly does not follow the behavior guidelines
                    >  if a student deliberately disrupts others' positive experiences or makes unsafe choices involving self/others
                    >  for the first severe infraction such as fighting/bullying/tantruming/leaving a designated area
                    >  if disrespect is shown to staff
                    >  for the first time directions are not followed during a safety drill

Three discipline reports/behaviors of concern may result in temporary suspension from the Eagles' Nest program with no refunds.

Severe infractions may result in immediate suspension with no refund.

A repeat of the behavior after suspension will result in expulsion from Eagle's Nest with no refunds.

Disrespect by a parent/guardian toward other students/staff/parents is grounds for a student’s immediate dismissal from Eagle's Nest with no refunds.

If a child is suspended during a school day, that student may not attend Eagle's Nest.
