NewTech@Mann offers a comprehensive high school curriculum with a focus on project-based instruction. J. L. Mann High School elective courses, athletics, and extracurricular activities are also available to NewTech@Mann students. The NewTech@Mann curriculum focus is appropriate for both college-bound and workforce-bound students; AP, CP, dual-credit, and honors-level course credit are available through NewTech@Mann. Students accepted into NewTech@Mann are required to remain for the full school year.
ANY INTERESTED J. L. MANN HIGH SCHOOL HOME-BASED OR ACCEPTED MAGNET STUDENT MAY APPLY. The applicant will be contacted after the application deadline to notify them of their NewTech@Mann enrollment status.
In order to ensure equity and fairness, NewTech@Mann students will be selected by lottery after the application deadline. Only students whose completed applications were received prior to the application deadline will be included in the lottery. The lottery will be held at J. L. Mann High School and student selection will continue until 150 applicants have been chosen. The 151st student selected (and beyond) will go on a waiting list in the order that they are drawn. This waiting list will stay in force through the current school year until the lottery for the next school year is conducted and a new list is generated.
