ABOUT US
Roxbury Youth Programs (RYP) is an out-of-school-time community engagement and youth development program where teens learn photography, design, and community event planning skills as tools to connect more deeply to their community and to themselves. In Summer 2022, our youth interns will learn about design as a tool for social change. Interns will attend art walks, museums, and tours of public art in Roxbury and Boston, and engage with art through a lens of local history and activism. Interns will learn graphic design skills on Adobe and get to design their own logo in partnership with a local branding agency. Their final project will be to design a Community Event that showcases art through a lens of history and social justice in Roxbury.
RYP is committed to the overall success and development of the young people we work with. We host free weekly workshops on topics such as Career Exploration, Personal Finance & Budgeting, Visiting Artist Activities, Photography Skill Building, and more. To learn more about our services, visit us at
