Student Welcome Survey
Welcome to a new year at the University of Chicago! The Lumen Christi Institute offers a wide array of lectures, discussions, and social events, all centered on the Catholic intellectual tradition. We hope you will make Lumen Christi part of your Chicago experience.

From Augustine to Dante, from the Epistles of Paul to the works of John Henry Newman, we aim to bring the Catholic intellectual tradition into students’ lives. Founded in 1997, the Lumen Christi Institute engages the entire University of Chicago campus in Christian thought and culture. All religious backgrounds are welcome; all concentrations will find something to like. If you care about theology, history, literature, political theory, economics, science and religion—if you want to understand your chosen course of study in the broader perspective of knowledge—the Lumen Christi Institute is for you.
