Beginning the Work at UD: Our Intentional Living Land Acknowledgement Form
This case study from the University of Delaware presents one institution's experience with drafting, approving, and early stages of using a Living Land Acknowledgement (LLA) to honor native lands. With a panel and discussion to follow, program participants include two members of the Indigenous Programming Committee of UD's Anti-Racism Initiative who were involved in drafting the LLA, a co-sponsor of the resolution before the University's Faculty Senate which successfully adopted the LLA, and recorded messages from tribal leadership in Delaware.
