World Plogging Day Contest/Fundraiser with the       Eastern Rhode Island Conservation District (ERICD) *Social Distance Approved!
When:  April 25th (World Plog Day), at any time!

Where:  Jog (plog) or walk (plack) anywhere (any state, any country, near your home, your own backyard, or maybe you have to get creative and "plog" in your basement!) to support ERICD and the environment

What:  Plogging is a combination of jogging with picking up litter (Swedish: plocka upp). It started as an organized activity in Sweden around 2016 and spread to other countries in 2018, following increased concern about plastic pollution.

How:  Choose to plog or plack while picking up trash. Grab a bag and a glove and hit the road in your neighborhood and make it a better place!

Suggested donation to enter! If you donate to the ERICD with your entry, you are eligible to win a prize! A gift card will be awarded for three categories: 1) best plog/plack selfie, 2) most trash collected, and 3) most interesting find.

Get creative, let's make this fun! Send in your plogging pictures (and tag us on social media too) and the ERICD will vote for and announce the winners Apri 28th. Prizes will be mailed to winners. Prizes are from the best eco-friendly companies including Greenvale Vineyards, Happy Earth Apparel, and Green Island Lifestyle. In addition to these grand prizes, the first 20 people to register with at least a $5 donation and then tag both ERICD and Rhode Races RI on Instagram/Facebook are also eligible to win a Rhode Races speed cup!
