Design For Change Day
Hello HPAS parents and caregivers!

HPAS teachers and the Philosophy, Policy and Program Committee have an exciting opportunity for you to showcase your passion and skills with our student population!

Design for Change is the theme of our school this year, and we are organizing a full day of workshops/demos/presentations for our kids on Thursday, April 2nd, 2020.
Here’s the skinny:

We're asking interested parents to come and demo or lead a workshop that showcases something you do to intentionally change the world for the better, especially with a focus on sustainability, up-cycling and accessibility.  It can be micro (change for you or your family) or macro (the greater community, environment, etc.) It could be linked to your career, a hobby or a side interest.  Have you planted a rain garden to reduce flooding in your neighbourhood, or installed solar panels?  Are you involved with a project designed to improve our community?  What do you create or make?  From tech to techno beats, to tomato soup, we're interested in it all.

Sessions will be one hour long, and will have as many as 39 student participants (grouped by age).  Teachers have suggested a format of fifteen minutes each for intro and wrap up, leaving thirty minutes in the middle for an activity or demonstration.

We are excited to see our community share their passions with our school!

If you are interested, please return this form by January 21st, 2019.
