Highland Lunch Visitors
If you plan to join us for lunch, please complete the form below at least 24 hours in advance so our cafeteria staff can plan accordingly.   (One form per visitor) 

  • Visitors for lunch will be considered volunteers and will need to follow the procedures for approval to be in DCPS schools (background checks completed and approved, valid license for check in) LINK HERE! - fill out and turn into the office if you don’t have one from the past three years.

  • Visitors are expected to remain in good standing with the school with respectful behavior, following all safety protocols, and supporting the expectation of a safe and secure environment for all students.

  • Visitors at lunch must respect the lunch period time and space provided. As children are dismissed from lunch, the parent/guardian is expected to exit the building.

  • Visitors must be on the student’s Infinite Campus record as a contact and ONLY eat with the students connected to IC.

  • Visitors will need to request a reservation to have lunch 24 hours before the day of the visit. That would mean by 10:30am on each Thursday before eating.

  • Due to spacing restraints, we will have designated days open to visitors. These will ONLY be on the Fridays preschool does not attend school in order to allow us to use the early learning center for overflow seating. (See below)

  • Our first lunch day for visitors will be on Friday, September 1st.

  • Visitors will not be allowed to bring in food from restaurants and/or fast food establishments per DCPS policy.

  • Visitors will refrain from taking photos during the time while in the building.

  • Visitors will leave the building once lunch is over. Visitors shall not walk students to the classroom or go to the playground area.
