MedPhys Slam 2020 Video Application
MedPhys Slam, a competition similar to 3MT (three-minute thesis), encourages students, postdocs, and residents to build their science communication skills. MedPhys Slam presents a unique challenge: directing one's scientific communications to non-specialists who may have no knowledge of physics or medical physics. Therefore, MedPhys Slam is distinct from the Young Investigator's Symposium, and presentations require a different structure and style.

The rules of MedPhys Slam are simple but challenging: participants have three minutes to present their research using a maximum of three PowerPoint slides. They are evaluated on three equally weighted categories - comprehension/content, communication, and engagement - by a panel of judges.

To be eligible to enter a video application to the MedPhys Slam qualifying competition, you must be a current Student, Junior, or Resident member of AAPM or COMP and meet one of two criteria: (i) you live outside of the United States and are therefore not a member of an AAPM Chapter, or (ii) you live within the United States and your AAPM Chapter is not holding an in-person qualifying competition for MedPhys Slam 2020.
