Ride request phone calls must be made between 9 AM and 1 PM, Monday through Friday.
Leave us a message with ride details: date, a destination address, one-way or round trip, pick-up times each way.
The actual ride can be scheduled for any time.
Rides must be requested, or canceled, no later than 10:30 AM the day before the scheduled ride.
Destinations can be medical, dental, church, food shelf, grocery shopping, and other errands.
Destinations can be anywhere inside or outside the service area.

Using WeCAB for transportation to work is discouraged.
Volunteer drivers use their own vehicles – they will have a yellow WeCAB sign in the window.
We provide transportation only - drivers do not assist with shopping or carrying items into a rider's home.
Rides are not guaranteed, but WeCAB fills around 95% of requests. The sooner you call to schedule your ride, the better, as it allows more time for us to find and schedule an available driver.
You will be called when we have a driver for you.
You’ll be notified by 1:00 PM the day before your requested ride if we do not have a driver for you.
If children are along, rider must provide car seat and install it properly in the volunteer driver’s vehicle.
You’ll get an automated reminder phone call at 5:00 PM the day before your scheduled ride.
Riders are responsible for using available technology to communicate with WeCAB. This includes being able to use, and respond to a voicemail, email, or text message.
We do not charge a fee but ask for a donation based on distance traveled for each one-way ride:

Drivers do not accept payment or tips. The rider will receive a letter at the beginning of the month, listing the previous month’s rides and suggested donation.
WeCAB follows MN Department of Health and CDC guidelines regarding COVID screenings. It is at the driver AND riders discretion to practice social distancing, wearing a mask, and/or the driver may open and close the vehicle doors for rider.
Before Rider schedules a ride the rider must review the RIDER HANDBOOK either electronically linked HERE or wait to receive the welcome packet in the mail.
