Emergency Preparedness Survey From 99.3 CountyFM
When emergencies and disasters strike, radio has a strong and specific role to play in keeping the community up to date with events and advice on practical steps to take to reduce the impact of a disaster.
99.3 County FM, as an essential service to Prince Edward County, is constantly working to improve upon our ability to serve the residence and visitors of PEC.
As part of our development we have received a contribution from the Community Radio Fund of Canada (CFRC) that will allow us to further improve our ability to prepare and respond to public safety issues.
During 2019-2020 we will develop an Emergency Handbook, train volunteers, coordinate our efforts with emergency services in PEC, and acquire the tools we need to broadcast direct from our transmitter.
As part of this process we are reaching out to the general public and business community for input. If you could take a few minutes here is what we’d like to know from you, later in 2020 we will ask people to return to the survey for an update
