OUPS 2023 Membership Form

Join the Oxford University Poetry Society!

The OUPS aims to encourage all manner of poetic life within the University of Oxford. Established in 1946, we are one of the oldest and most active student poetry societies in the UK, making Oxford a wonderful place for aspiring poets and poetry lovers.

We have weekly activities ranging from speaker events to open mic nights, from literary salons to spoken word workshops. The Oxford University Poetry Society aims to be the centre of poetic life within the university, and we have a long tradition of hosting acclaimed writers, such as Ted Hughes, Dylan Thomas, and more recently, Paul Muldoon, Daljit Nagra, Alice Oswald, Mary Jean Chan, and many others.

Become a member to share and write your poetry within a warm and welcoming community; connect with fellow poetry enthusiasts, established poets, and emerging talents; have the privilege of attending all upcoming poetry events free of charge. More information is available on our website - https://www.oxforduniversitypoetrysociety.com and Instagram @oupsox.
