Thank you for your interest in working for the SOFD. We are always looking for new Paid On Call members. We are currently focusing our recruitment efforts on two groups.
1. Do you live in Mequon/Thiensville and want to help out your community? We would love to have you join us; no experience required. If you want to help as a firefighter, EMT, or both, we will get you the necessary training to be part of our team.
2. Do you live in a community outside of Mequon/Thiensville but are able to commute to work? We would love to have you join us, however, an EMT license is required prior to hire.

The Southern Ozaukee Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department exists to ensure the safety of our communities through fire suppression, response to medical emergencies, professional training and public education. We serve our communities to protect the people, property, and environment. We provide our citizens with reassurance, aid and comfort when they are vulnerable.
