ADVANCED - Composing Movement
From Mr. Thompson...

You may have noticed that people and things MOVE in film (Hot tip: that's why they're called "movies.") So, it's one thing to use shapes to help compose the mise-en-scene but wouldn't all that movement, you know, ruin the shapes?

Well, not always... but certainly sometimes. That's why movement itself is an important part of composition. Just as shapes have a psychological effect on viewers, so, too, does movement. In this video, "Every Frame a Painting" video essayist Tony Zhou explores how Kurosawa was a master at composing movement throughout all of his films. Practicing combining geometry AND movement can "shape" you into a master filmmaker!

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

(I had to. It was sitting right there!)
