Parent Survey-Chilhowee School Reopening
Students, Parents, and Community Members
As we take steps to prepare for reopening school this upcoming fall, we have created a process to guide our decision making in creating the plan. The first vital step of this process is gaining the thoughts, ideas and concerns of parents and community members. Your feedback is of top priority and will serve as a guide in moving forward. Below you will find the five steps that we will take in this process. Next you will find the survey. We ask that you please take a few minutes to complete this survey at your earliest convenience. Thank you for your feedback!
*Step 1: Collect Data, Info, and Guidance:
Collect data and feedback from parents and community members.
Collect input from teachers and staff.
Obtain up-to-date guidance from the CDC, DESE, and the Johnson County Health Department.
Collaborate with other school administrators to gain new ideas and possible solutions.
*Step 2: Analyze the data and explore all ideas, concerns, and feedback:
Communicate data and info so that it is accessible for all Distance Learning Committee (DLC) team members.
View parent and community survey results and examine feedback.
Read and discuss guidance from the CDC, DESE, and Johnson County Health.
Formulate questions and considerations based off of the collected data, info, and guidance. Consider possible solutions that align with feedback and guidance.
*Step 3: Create a plan that will serve as a prototype (or rough draft).
*Step 4: Acquire input on prototype (rough draft) plan:
Share the prototype plan with parents and community members to further gain feedback regarding possible adjustments.
Share the prototype plan with the Johnson County Health Department to gain insight regarding possible adjustments
*Step 5: Create the final plan:
Create the final plan keeping in mind that it may be necessary to adjust as the school year progresses and circumstances change.
Communicate the plan to staff, students, parents, and community members.
