Oita, Japan High School Homestay 2024: July 13th - 21st 

Visit Oita, Japan, one of Austin’s thirteen Sister Cities!

This program is open to all Austin area current 8th-12th graders. Six students will be chosen. 

Students will be immersed in Japanese culture, including homestays and school visits.

Knowledge of the Japanese language is a plus but not required.

Students are responsible to pay for roundtrip airfare to Oita, Japan, travel insurance and spending money. The group will travel to Oita, Japan and return to Austin together on the same flights. Students must have a valid passport for travel.

Oita City will cover the costs of students during their stay in Oita such as meals, transportation, and activities. 

This application and references are due by March 18th, 2024. Email one reference (a teacher or employer) to jrolstonyates@austinoita.org by March 18th, 2024.
