Use this form to request a free HensNest face mask from the University of Delaware Department of Mechanical Engineering. The HensNest is a novel, reusable face mask design for non-medical applications that is intended to provide users some protection from airborne pathogens beyond what can be achieved by do-it-yourself cloth masks or bandanas. Please see our Safety and Liability policy at the end of this application.

The HensNest was designed and manufactured by engineers at University of Delaware. At present, our production capabilities are limited, and we are prioritizing donations to high medical risk individuals, home caretakers for high medical risk individuals, and those working in high exposure risk environments (e.g., grocery store workers, delivery persons).

There are two delivery options: (a) we will ship you a mask free of charge; or (b) if you live in the vicinity of Newark, DE, you can pick up your mask at Little Goat Coffee (16 Haines St, Newark, DE 19711). Please do consider the pick up option if you live locally, as it reduces costs and allows us to give out more masks. Shipping generally takes 1-2 weeks for delivery, and pick-ups at Little Goat Coffee are available immediately upon order 8 am - 3 pm every day.
