The position of HS Volunteer Counsellor includes:
-
Building a relationship with campers
-
Role modelling and supporting camper participation in all camp activities
-
Helping set up/run various activities throughout the day
-
Tidying site, including putting supplies away, removing garbage and vacuuming
NUC Summer Camp is committed to accommodating applicants with disabilities throughout the process. We will work with any applicant requesting accommodation at any point through the season to ensure an environment that is conducive to learning and growing for everyone.
Over the last couple of years we have put several practices in place to ensure that we are minimizing the health risk of COVID19 for all of our staff, volunteers and campers, and that we are following the guidelines set by our local Public Health Unit and the Ministry of Health. At this time, we do not yet know what these requirements will be for 2022, but assure you they will be implemented fully and carefully. We ask that in return, our volunteers also follow guidelines as set out by Public Health, especially around health screening, mask wearing and vaccine recommendations.
JR Volunteers can volunteer UP TO 2 weeks between July 4 and 29, 2022. Hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
