Student Registration Form:For students ages 12 and up. Both students & adults are eligible to participate in this class. Registration for this class is limited.
This class will provide a look into the realm of costume designing for local theatre. This will include:
- Character &
Play Breakdown from a Costume Designer’s Perspective
- Costume Designer’s
Conceptualization & Process
- Working with the Director & Theatre
Company Expectations
- Student Work – create
concept & produce 1-2 character costume(s)
- And More!
Students will be asked to be creative as they learn what it takes to costume design for local theatre companies. Diving deep into how to bring a character to life through visual appearance & expectations, working within the limits of budget, time, and collaboration, and essentially bringing their own concepts to life. Creativity and Communication will be effective assets to bring to this class. Prior experience sewing or constructing clothing are not a requirement for this class, but certainly encouraged.
Cost to participate is $160 per student.
