Worship Survey
Your Vinje Leadership is making plans to provide in-person worship services that are both meaningful and safe for those who participate. While every in-person activity any of us participates in comes with the risk of spreading the COVID-19 virus and other illnesses, we believe that we can take precautions that will strongly limit the risk. We are also fully aware things can change, and that we may have to switch gears based on rising or declining cases, as well as guidance from local and national health officials. Please know that your input is incredibly helpful as we shape worship heading into the Fall and as we gauge interest in the following options.

OUTDOOR WORSHIP: At this time, we are planning on providing an option for and outdoor, in-person worship using the following criteria:
Worshipers would be asked to pre-register for worship because of limited space to allow for social distancing.
If weather permits, participants would gather in Vinje's parking lot for worship.
Sunday worship would be from 9:30-10am. Wednesday worship would be from 6-6:30pm
Worshipers would be asked to bring their own lawn chairs and place them at already marked, socially-distanced locations. Families would be allowed to sit together in groups.
Parking would be available in the parking lot for those with mobility issues.  Others would be encouraged to use street parking.
Everyone would be required to wear masks for the duration of the service, which would allow for worshipers to sing together, as well as recite parts of the liturgy out loud (i.e. Confession and Forgiveness, The Lord's Prayer, and the Apostles' Creed).
There would be no in-person Communion at this time.
There would be no fellowship time prior to or following worship.
In the case of inclement weather, an announcement would be made an hour prior to worship, and we would move worship indoors. Registered families could then make the decision of whether they felt comfortable attending worship indoors or not.

If we followed these guidelines, which of the following options would you feel comfortable with and would you plan on attending on a regular basis? (Please select all that apply) *

INDOOR WORSHIP: At this time, when the weather does not permit us to be outdoors, we are planning on providing an option for a worship service in the sanctuary, using the following criteria:

Sunday worship would be from 9:30-10am. Wednesday worship would be from 6-6:30pm
Everyone would be required to wear masks for the duration of the service.
Social-distancing guidelines would be followed and seating arrangements would be marked in the sanctuary. Families would be allowed to sit together.
There would be no singing, except for worship leaders who would be singing from behind plexiglass shields. Pastors would lead the entire liturgy, and there would be no recitation of spoken parts of the service (i.e. no congregational speaking of Confession and Forgiveness, The Lord's Prayer, and the Apostles' Creed).
