2023 Application to undertake (External)  Vocational Education and Training (VET) Study
Vocational Education and Training (VET) combines general VCE or VCE Vocational Major (VM) studies with vocational training and experience in the workplace. St Joseph’s offers senior students programs selected from a range of industry areas approved by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA).

Being a part of the Mullum VET Cluster offers students with the opportunity to participate in a unique two-year program. Through their VET courses, students are able to achieve a nationally recognised Certificate II or Certificate III.

Participating in a VET study improves a student’s employability and industry specific skills which have been designed to meet industry requirements. It provides students with the options to partake in employment or continue with further study in vocational training.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

• Students and families should note that VET programs, unless otherwise indicated, are not embedded within each student’s timetable. Therefore, Students are expected to ‘catch up’ on any timetabled classes and classes they miss whilst attending their VET program.

• St Joseph’s College cannot guarantee selection or enrolment in a VET study for 2023. You may be required to complete an external application form if applying for an external VET study.

• Students will be required to attend any compulsory orientation/enrolment sessions for their course. Details will be provided to students in advance of the session.

• An interview may be required to finalise your application.
