Career Tech Charter High School, a free, independent public school option, will be an innovative, career-focused, technology-infused high school slated to open in Pittsburgh, PA in the Fall of 2022. It is unique in many ways: (1) Students will complete high school in Years 1 through 3, and will earn a college Certificate or Associates Degree in a STEM-related career field during Year 4, with an optional Year 5. (2) CTC will feature a new, "Whole Person" Model of education, which uses project-based learning where the students choose the projects, instead of traditional classes for each subject. (3) There will be a focus on personal Health, Wellbeing, & Fitness. (4) Restorative Practices will take the place of many of the traditional discipline procedures.
