Join the East Bay Educational Collaborative (EBEC), the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute (WHOI), and Scoutlier on our journey to inspire creativity and innovation among your grades 6-12 students. Imagine starting your day diving into the Ocean Twilight Zone (OTZ), a dimly lit area critical to open water ecosystems and one of the last great frontiers to explore and conserve. Here, students will encounter obstacles, power failures, and other problems regularly faced by real OTZ scientists and engineers in a simulated environment. All students will meet these researchers via video and learn about cutting edge Ocean and Navy and related technology careers.

Students selected by judges and teachers from a Spring Virtual Fair (8 student winners per district) will tour the WHOI facilities in Woods Hole, MA and interact with researchers and Navy personnel.
