I understand and acknowledge that outdoor activities hold inherent risks, which include but are not limited to:

• Bodily injuries due to carried items, terrain, or water;
• Collisions with roots, rocks, trees, or man-made objects;
• Falls down slopes, over cliffs, into water, and encounters with unstable surfaces;
• Inclement weather such as rain, sleet, hail, snow, wind;
• Encounters with animals such as grizzly bears, beavers, porcupines, cougars, deer or coyotes;
• Extreme temperatures such as hot/humid weather or cold/freezing weather;
• Remote locations with poor or no communication abilities, which may affect timely rescue or medical aid assistance;
• Any injury that may be critical or even deadly.

I release the organizers, volunteers, and participants of these events of any and all responsibility for claims, demands, actions and costs that may arise from my participation.

I understand that the personal information contained in this form will be collected by Edmonton Trail Community in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act of Alberta (PIPA). My personal information will not be shared with any other organization except as permitted by law, and only the least amount of information will be shared with those who need to know where reasonable and necessary.
