DisCon III Visa Request Letter Form

Use this form to request a visa invitation letter to be drafted on your behalf in order to attend DisCon III, the 79th World Science Fiction Convention, in Washington, DC in August 2021. DisCon III will only issue letters requesting nonimmigrant temporary tourist (B2) visas. If traveling as a family, a separate letter should be issued for every person over the age of 16.

Prior to completing this form, we encourage you to visit and review DisCon III's Information for International Traveler's website [https://discon3.org/location/international-travelers/]. You should also visit your local US Consulate or the US Department of State website to confirm whether your country participates in the Visa Waiver Program [https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/tourism-visit/visa-waiver-program.html]

You must be a paid attending member in order to receive a visa invitation letter. Visit the DisCon III membership page to register or upgrade to an attending membership [https://discon3.org/membership/] Further, as an attending member, you are fully responsible for your own costs of travel, participation, and medical care.

The following information is collected for the sole purpose of drafting a visa invitation letter on your behalf. It will not be shared with other departments within DisCon III, or outside parties, and will not be retained beyond August 2021.
