Workshops Options
1. Nov. 8 (6pm-7:30pm) Corn Pollen Workshop- Brought to MCC by NATIVE Health Youth Resiliency Program. This workshop will feature presenters to share about Walking the Corn Pollen Path: Traditional Teachings of Tádídíín (Corn Pollen) from a Diné Perspective. Through this workshop participants will understand the ways this medicine is utilized and held in reverence for Dine' Culture and Traditions. Workshop presenters will also share other traditional medicine knowledge and philosophy as it pertains to college success. Location: LB145 1833 W. Southern Ave. Mesa, AZ 85202
2. ALL SPOTS HAVE BEEN FILLED Hand Drum Making Workshop Nov. 20 (6pm-8pm)- Facilitated by Trevor Foster, participants will learn to how to assemble a hand drum and will also learn traditional teachings about the drum and its many ways it is used in various settings. Location: LB145 1833 W. Southern Ave. Mesa, AZ 85202
