Periods A - 5: 7:55am-2:19pm (Student must be picked up at 2:19pm. There is no study hall available. No bus is available. Requests for an A-5 schedule might not be accommodated as the number of spaces is based upon availability. Elective class available for this schedule is the Career Wheel.)

Periods 1 - 6: 9:00am–3:10pm (Periods 1 - 6 will be assigned if no preference form is submitted. Electives available for this schedule are Beginning or Intermediate/Advanced Chorus, Beginning or Intermediate Band, Beginning or Advanced Strings, and the Career Wheel.)

Please select your 1st and 2nd choices for an elective class (requests granted based on space availability).

Each student is assigned English, Social Science, Math, Science, Physical Education, and an Elective class. Math level is determined by final grades and end-of-course exam scores from 5th grade (this test is given in class by the 5th grade teacher if at a CVUSD elementary school or MATES - all others interested in taking this exam must register at www.colinacounseling.org starting in April). Students in special education or ELD are assigned according to their IEPs/ILPs.

CAREER WHEEL: This class rotates through multiple electives during the year. Classes are computer assigned and may include creative writing, art, computers (coding and animation), debate/public speaking, introductory Spanish, and bridge building.

CHORUS (BEGINNING): Yearlong class. No experience necessary.

CHORUS (INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED): Yearlong class. Teacher permission/audition required - contact Mr. Rothbart at mrothbart@conejousd.org.

BAND (BEGINNING): Yearlong class. No experience necessary. Band instruments: flute, oboe, clarinet, bass clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, French horn, trombone, tuba, percussion.

BAND (INTERMEDIATE): Yearlong class. Student must have at least one year of experience playing an instrument. Teacher permission/audition required - contact Ms. Davis at adavis@conejousd.org.

STRINGS (BEGINNING): Yearlong class. This class is for beginning and intermediate players. No experience necessary. String instruments: violin, viola, cello, bass.

STRINGS (ADVANCED): Yearlong class. This class is for advanced players. Teacher permission/audition required – contact Ms. Forbrizzio at vforbrizzio@conejousd.org.
