JoinJade Youth Ambassador Program 2024 - Please read carefully!
JoinJade Youth Ambassadors leverage their skills and interests to develop innovative approaches aimed at improving HBV and liver cancer awareness, prevention, and screening. We are looking for dedicated individuals who will drive change with us across our CARE (Collaboration, Advocacy, Research & Education) framework. As an ambassador, you will have the unique opportunity to design and implement a project of your own, supported by our team at the Stanford University Asian Liver Center.

You can find the application below, and are welcome to submit it anytime before our deadline. Applications are due by 10:59PM PST on January 28, 2024.

The application is structured to cover general information, 3 short essay questions, one letter of recommendation (instructions for submission are down below), and an optional question.

What project ideas/goals do you have, and envision working on as an Ambassador? 

Note: We encourage you to think about how you can make an impact in your community, and evaluate/target disparities in factors such as education, testing, linkage to care, treatment, vaccination, stigma/discrimination, etc. This may be explored through technology, medicine, humanities, design, media - the creative mode is yours!

Letter of Recommendation 
We require 1 letter of recommendation from an individual who can speak to your strengths, and who knows you well (ex. teacher, supervisor, mentor, coach). This may not be written by a family member or friend. 

There are no formatting specifications for the letter, but we do ask that your letter writer provides their name & title, and keeps the reference letter to 2 paragraphs maximum. Your recommender must email the letter to us at outreach7alc@gmail.com no later than 11:59PM PST on January 27th, 2024.
