Moonshot Museum's mission is to inspire diverse community to find their place in the space industry. This visit will include a tour of the Moonshot Museum, a conversation about the knowledge and skills students might need for entering a career in the space industry, and a chance for coaches to learn about and promote field trip opportunities with their colleagues. Entertainment Technology Center (ETC) of Carnegie Mellon University (*located separately from main campus) You will see this one-of-a-kind space, experiencing the same tour your students would. For older students, the tour will include a basic overview of the graduate program at the ETC. Students of all ages might have opportunities to play-test innovative grad student projects (tech-based transformational games) depending on when a field trip would be scheduled, allowing them to engage with cutting edge technologies and providing feedback to the games' creators. Trade Institute of Pittsburgh's mission is to empower men and women with significant barriers to employment through skill building and career opportunities. TIP offers 10-week tuition-free masonry and carpentry programs, as well as social service supports. You will learn about the program, tour the facility, and come away with a post-secondary option to share with some of our most at-risk students. (Secondary)
