Do you play an instrument? Do you love to sing? Are you interested in learning how to play an instrument? Do you like Jazz? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then the CFIS music program is the place for you. EVERYONE is welcome.
What music classes do we offer? Please see all of our opportunities…You can even be in more than one of these classes.

Advanced Band meets at zero period, which starts at 7:10 a.m. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in the band room. This class is for anyone who has previous instrumental experience from elementary school or if you are in I.B., and want to learn an instrument, you should still sign up for advanced band since you cannot sign up for beginning band.

Jazz Band meets at zero period, which starts at 7:10 a.m. on Tuesday and Thursday and is limited to the more advanced players and specialty instruments. Please email Mr. Baker at

Beginning Band meets during the day and is for any student that is not in I.B. who wants to learn an instrument.

Choir meets during 5th period. Sorry I.B. cannot sign up for choir due to scheduling conflicts.
AUDITIONS – there will not be any auditions. Just please fill out the form if you wish to be a part of these amazing groups. Please do not fill out the form if you do not want to be in the program.
This past year the band went to Corona, Centennial and Santiago High Schools to perform with their bands during the half time show at the football games. All of the bands and choir also performed at Knott’s Berry Farm. Additionally, students participate in a Winter Concert and a Spring Concert.
