KWC Performing Arts’ summer University / Young Professional Leadership Team works as a unit within the daily operations of our four summer performing arts camps. This program is designed to allow future job-seekers to experience corporate and professional theatre culture, practice working with a team to achieve goals, and develop their talents within the structure of a non-profit performing arts company. KWC’s student and young professional alumni have gone on to be successful working professionals that apply their skills in countless ways - not only in the arts, but as leaders in a number of industries.

Performing Positions:

| Department Leader & Rehearsal Assistant |
This camp-counselor-type position serves on the KidPower Leadership Team with daily responsibilities as assigned within one of the Departments described in the next section. Department Leaders are not required to perform, but the option is available. All performing leaders are required to participate in the full audition process and will be cast in the July production of Matilda the Musical. Out-of-town applicants must send a video of a prepared audition if unable to attend the scheduled audition (details will be communicated in a follow-up). *Performance opportunities are restricted to July Camp only.*

| Music Director Assistant |
Preference will be given to those adept at piano accompaniment or with proficiency in another instrument. Reports directly to the Music Director and assists with rehearsals and rehearsal components. Opportunities include performing with professionals in the pit band for June PAC and experience leading break-out rehearsals.

Non-Performing Positions:

| Production and/or Design Assistant |

This position is part of the production design and backstage team. This highly-effective Department works closely with our professional Stage Manager, Hailli Ridsdale, our Production Manager, Michelle McCullough, and our Lighting Director, Chad Jung, plus many more industry professionals. Placements include everything from costume/sound/lighting assistants to stage management assistants.

| Artistic Team Assistant |

This position assists members of the artistic staff with all rehearsal & production requirements and includes the titles of assistant to the director and assistant to the choreographer.

| Multimedia Assistant |
This position requires knowledge and pursuit of experience in video/film production and editing. This person will work hands-on with many departments - filming, editing, and working directly with Broadway, TV, and Film professionals. Preference will be given to those that are applying for the entire summer.

| Public Relations + Marketing + Social Media Assistant |
This position assists the Community Engagement and Public Relations Director, Tracy Cliburn, in raising awareness for KWC and its productions. The position offers freedom to be creative through all social media platforms and the opportunity to gain valuable education in PR/Marketing in the non-profit community. Graphic design experience is a plus but not a must.

| Office Assistant + Arts Administration |
This position assists four of the full-time staff members with administrative tasks involving everything from development to collateral design to reception to event preparation. Seeking a self-starter with a teachable spirit and an affable attitude. Preference given to candidates proficient in Microsoft Office and graphic design. This position has normal office hours - 8:00am-5:00pm daily.
