BDG Pitching Trainer
Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Part/Full-time
Wage: DOE

As a Pitching Trainer you will be responsible for working daily with athletes on the training floor and report directly to our Director of Pitching and Director of Performance to facilitate athlete programming and development.
 
We are seeking individuals with a variety of experience in the disciplines of player performance (S&C, pitching, data analytics, etc) and are especially interested in those that have a history of independent learning.

 
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
-Facilitating a high performance training atmosphere environment.
-Monitoring athlete training programs
-Teaching, demonstrating, and correcting throwing drills to athletes of various ages
-Work with BDG team on collaborative research projects
-Setup, operate, and interpret player development technologies such as pitchAI, Rapsodo, HitTrax, etc
-Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office or Google Docs.
 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates applying for this position should be able to lift up to 100 pounds unassisted repeatedly throughout the workday. Also, the physical requirements of this job require frequent walking around, demonstrating and assisting with exercise, throwing and lifting movements; bending, throwing, stretching, lifting, pushing, pulling and squatting are movements performed daily.
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
-Self sufficient and eager to learn
-Prior experience coaching pitchers at the high school, collegiate, etc, level.
-Some prior experience in a high performance training environment either as an athlete or coach
-Unquenchable drive to improve and help athletes
